Born 1964 in Cornwall, John Brenton B.A.(hons.) has dedicated his painting life to capturing the beauty and drama of coastline and countryside. Often to be found battling the elements en plein air whether it be on a Cornish cliff edge; a tranquil Cotswold river valley; or on the banks of a Scottish loch, his paintings possess a vibrancy and energy that can transport you to those bucolic and diverse locations.

John has established himself as a leading contemporary land and seascape artist. Over the past 23 years he has held regular solo exhibitions throughout the UK, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Royal Society of British Artists Exhibition and the Royal Institute of Oil Painters Exhibition. His paintings are collected worldwide.
